A lot of tweets have been happening about preserving photos and having family photo identification parties. Got me to thinking about the unknowns that I have scanned in the past. I think a posting of these unknowns for my family to look at might help.
My grandfather Arvon Jones was a great photographer. He had his own developing setup and did a lot of darkroom work. Most of the photos I have from my Jones family are his works, done between 1930 and his death in 1955. Most are unlabeled, like these two.
I believe these are from the Costenson side, but they could be Jones' or Bell's
These two gentlemen were in a group rubber banded together with a note that said they were Peterson's (my Grandmother Esther Jones family. However, other people had been through grandma's box of photos and I am not sure who they are.
Wow Jan, I am so impressed! Thank you for doing this. Sadly no one in the photos looks familiar to me. I loved reading the obits for Thomas Jones. Had no idea. The site is lovely! Best wishes and will try to keep up and let you know if I find info.
